Executive Chef Omar Bernal started his career in a scratch kitchen and remains true to preparing meals from scratch with quality ingredients. “It’s important to find the best of the best with everything that is placed in your dish from the highest quality locally sourced beef, to vegetables, and spices. I do not rush anything,” he said.
Chef Omar recently managed operations for The Patina Restaurant Group at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Music Center Opera House, catering high volume fine-dining events, and national events around the United States. His experience ranges from San Sebastian, Spain, Los Angeles, California, and even Abu Dhabi. “You hear about Chefs with training from Le Cordon Bleu, but to have one right here in Wichita, KS is going to be a treat,” said Owner Brandon Steven. Chef’s Motto is “Do it right the first time.”
Chef Omar Bernal has worked beside renowned Chef’s such as Chef Joachim Splichal, Chef David LeFevre, and Chef Martín Berasategui which have received the James Beard Awards, and many coveted Michelin stars.
Mr. Glassman is a native New Yorker, born in 1980, who received his business degree from Tulane University. He is very excited to bring his New York City flair and his California cool to the great steak culture of Kansas. As the operating partner of 6S Steakhouse, he is confident that this restaurant will take its place at the top of Wichita’s fine dining experiences.
